Troubleshooting Guide
PROBLEM | POSSIBLE ISSUE | SOLUTION |
No water is available from the filter system | Check incoming water to the filter system | If water is not flowing to the filter system, locate the restriction point or call a plumber |
Check to see if ball valve is open | If closed turn the lever so that it is parallel with the inlet and outlet ports
Check to see if water is passing through the filter | Turn off the ball valve on the inlet side of the filter system and disconnect the tubing on the outlet side of the filter system. Place tubing that is connected to the outlet side of the filter system in a sink or bucket. While holding the tubing secure turn the ball valve slowly to check to see if water is passing through the filter system. If water is not passing through the system the filter needs to be changed. See installation instructions to change the filter or filters.
Water delivery is slow from the filter system to the equipment | Check incoming water to the filter system | If the water pressure is low or the flow to the filter system, is slow locate the restriction point or call a plumber |
Check to see if ball valve is not opened all the way | If partially closed turn the lever so that it is parallel with the inlet and outlet ports
Check to see if the filter is clogged | Turn off the ball valve on the inlet side of the filter system and disconnect the tubing on the outlet side of the filter system. Place tubing that is connected to the outlet side of the filter system in a sink or bucket. While holding the tubing secure turn the ball valve slowly to check to see if water is passing through the filter system. If water is not passing through the system the filter needs to be changed. See installation instructions to change the filter or filters.
Water leaks out between the filter and the filter head | Check to see if the filter is turned completely to the left as far as it will go | Turn off the ball valve at the inlet side of the filter system. Turn the filter clock wise by griping it with both hands and turning. |
Check to see if the o-ring needs to be lubricated | Turn the ball valve off on the inlet side of the filter system. Turn the filter to the right or counter clockwise to remove. If the o-ring is dry add some vegetable oil or food grade grease to the o-ring and reinstall filter as explained in the installation instructions. |
